A Seat at the Table — explore the UAE through five senses

Discover an interactive table built around five UAE-inspired atmospheres: desert dawn, a majlis, a souk, an oasis and Ramadan evening. Co-created with People of Determination artists and university students, the layered artwork invites visitors to explore sound, scent, touch and different ways of perceiving familiar places.

What’s free & what to know

Free public installation within Dubai Design Week; participating adults and children can enter the festival free. No installation-specific charge or booking is advertised.
The individual programme lists 10:00–22:00, while the official main visitor timetable shows 10:00–20:00. Plan within the shared 10:00–20:00 window; confirm later access.
Paid Downtown Design tickets, shopping, transport and parking are not included.
The approximate pin marks Dubai Design District, not the exact installation entrance.
The programme describes a taste-inspired atmosphere but does not guarantee free food, drinks or take-home items. No refreshments are promised.
Children should participate with adult supervision.
